The realistic answer for most NCR shops is the 12 inch or 14 inch. A 12 inch needs about the footprint of a small refrigerator and runs on a 2 HP single phase motor, which matters because most commercial shop connections in Delhi are single phase and getting a three phase connection sanctioned takes time and a deposit. The 14 inch on 3 HP is still single phase and gives you 35 to 40 kg per hour, which covers a busy colony shop.
Noise is the other NCR-specific issue. You are usually grinding with residential flats above you and neighbours on both sides. A stone chakki at low RPM is noticeably quieter than a pulveriser, which is worth knowing before you sign a shop agreement with a noise clause in it.
Chakki atta sells at a premium in Delhi because buyers actively distrust packet flour and will pay more for something they watched being ground. Several of our NCR customers grind mixed atta on order, wheat with chana, soya or jau, which is a margin most packet brands cannot match.
Delivery to NCR is a standard road freight lane from Mumbai. Machines ship without motor, so you buy the motor locally in Delhi where three phase and single phase motors are both easily available.
Yes, up to the 14 inch. The 10 inch needs 1.5 HP, the 12 inch 2 HP and the 14 inch 3 HP, all single phase. The 16 inch and 18 inch need three phase.
Plan for roughly a 3 by 3 foot footprint for a 12 or 14 inch machine plus room to stand and feed it. You also want a bit of clearance behind for the belt and motor.
A stone chakki runs at low RPM and is considerably quieter than a pulveriser. It is not silent, but it is generally acceptable in a market shop. If you are grinding under flats, mount it on a level concrete base to cut vibration.
