Most consignments move by road through Birgunj, which is the main land customs point between India and Nepal, or through Bhairahawa and Kakarbhitta depending on where you are. We crate the machine and provide the commercial invoice and packing list your clearing agent will need. You or your agent handle Nepali customs and duty on your side. On the grinding side, Nepal is a mixed-grain market. Wheat and maize dominate in the Terai, while the hills grind more millet, particularly kodo, along with buckwheat in some districts. Millet and buckwheat are small, hard grains that punish a poorly finished stone. Diamond stone handles them without the constant re-cutting an emery stone would need, which matters more in Nepal because getting a stone cut properly is harder outside the big towns.
Power supply is the main sizing question. Where three phase is stable, the 16 inch at 60 to 80 kg per hour is the workhorse for a commercial mill. Where you are on single phase or supply is uneven, stay at 14 inch or below. All machines ship without motor, which for Nepal buyers is usually an advantage since you can source a motor that matches your local voltage and get it serviced locally.
