At 3 HP it is the largest machine that still runs on single phase. Above this you need a three phase connection, and in most Indian market shops getting three phase sanctioned means a deposit, paperwork and a wait.
So the 14 inch gives you 35 to 40 kg per hour, which covers a busy colony atta shop, without any change to your electrical connection. That combination is why it is the default recommendation for a retail shop in almost every state we ship to.
It is also the size that suits custom grinding in villages, where people bring their own wheat in unpredictable bursts. The extra capacity over a 12 inch means people are not standing around, and the single phase requirement means it works where three phase is unreliable.
A note on the specification, because this was wrong on some listings in the past and we want it stated plainly: the 14 inch is 35 to 40 kg per hour on a 3 HP single phase motor. Not 20 to 25, and not three phase. If you have seen different figures for this machine anywhere, these are the correct ones.
The machine is supplied without a motor. Buy a 3 HP single phase motor locally, which is cheaper than freighting one and means local service.

At 35 to 40 kg per hour, a six hour working day is roughly 200 to 240 kg. Most shops do not run it continuously, so treat that as an upper figure.
