WhatsApp Now Call: +91 82911 12613The 16 inch grinds 60 to 80 kg per hour on a 7.5 HP three phase motor. That is roughly double the 14 inch, and the jump is not just capacity. Once you go to three phase you are making a commitment: a sanctioned connection, a deposit, and an electrician. Do that only when the volume justifies it.
The honest test is whether you are turning work away or making people wait. A shop moving 400 kg or more a day, or one supplying other retailers as well as walk-in customers, will make the 16 inch pay. A shop doing 200 kg a day will not, and should stay on the 14 inch.
Where the 16 inch is clearly right is the mandi-side or village grinding operation with agricultural three phase already in place. In Punjab, western UP, Bihar and much of Maharashtra that connection already exists, and in that case the 16 inch is simply better economics than running two smaller machines.
Running cost scales with the motor, not the machine. A 7.5 HP motor near full load draws considerably more than a 3 HP one, so work your per kilo margin against your actual electricity tariff before you decide. We would rather you buy the 14 inch and be profitable than buy the 16 inch and be idle.

Yes. 7.5 HP is not workable on single phase. If you do not have a three phase connection and do not want to apply for one, the 14 inch is your ceiling.
Sirf tab jab aapke paas kaam hai. Agar log wait kar rahe hain ya aap doosri shops ko supply karte hain to haan. Agar din mein 200 kg peesta hai to 14 inch hi behtar hai, bijli ka kharcha kam lagega.
Plan for a solid level concrete base and room to work around it. It is a considerably heavier machine than the 14 inch and it should be properly mounted, not stood on a wooden platform.
