Our Complete Catalog

Five sizes, from a home gharghanti to an industrial mill. Every machine is supplied without motor.

Every Kapi machine uses the same maintenance-free diamond stone and the same heavy cast iron construction. The difference between models is throughput — how many kilograms per hour you need to grind, and therefore what motor you should fit.

Which Size Should You Buy?

Grinding for your own family

A 10" handles a household comfortably. If you also grind for a few neighbours or relatives, go to 12".

Running an atta shop

The 14" is what most shop owners choose, and it is our best seller. It runs on single phase, so you do not need a commercial three-phase connection — that alone saves a lot of paperwork and cost. At 35–40 kg/hr it comfortably handles a normal day’s shop trade.

High-volume or wholesale

16" and 18" need a three-phase connection. Choose these if you are grinding continuously or supplying other shops.

Not sure? Tell us how many kilograms you expect to grind per day and what electricity connection you have. We will tell you honestly which model fits — including if a smaller one is enough.

What Else We Make

Pulverizer Machines

For dry masala and multi-grain grinding, including stainless steel models.

Diamond Cutter Stones

How to read this catalog

Every machine we make is a diamond stone chakki supplied without a motor, in five sizes. The only real decisions are how many kilos you need per hour and what electricity supply you have. Everything else follows from those two answers.

The 10 inch does 10 to 15 kg per hour on a 1.5 HP single phase motor and is a household machine. The 12 inch does 20 to 25 kg per hour on 2 HP single phase and suits a large household or a small counter. The 14 inch does 35 to 40 kg per hour on 3 HP single phase and is our best seller, because it is the largest size that does not need a three phase connection. The 16 inch does 60 to 80 kg per hour on 7.5 HP three phase. The 18 inch does 110 to 120 kg per hour on 10 HP three phase and is an industrial machine.

The single most common mistake is buying a size down to save money. If customers end up waiting, the saving disappears in the first month. The second most common mistake is buying a three phase machine before checking whether a three phase connection is actually available and sanctioned.

Why we supply without a motor: it keeps your freight cost down, it lets you use a motor you may already own, and it means you buy from a local supplier who will also repair it. We tell you the recommended HP for each size and you buy accordingly.

All bodies are heavy cast iron with steel framing. The grinding surface is diamond stone rather than emery, so there is no weekly taki. Output figures assume dry wheat; oily or damp grain will always run slower on any machine.

Questions about choosing a size

Which size should I buy?

Work backwards from daily kilos. Under 100 kg a day, 10 or 12 inch. Up to about 250 kg with single phase only, the 14 inch. Above 400 kg with three phase, the 16 inch. Mills and multi-outlet supply, the 18 inch.

Why is the motor not included?

It keeps freight cost down, lets you use an existing motor, and means you buy locally where you can also get it serviced. We tell you the exact HP and phase needed for each size.

Do the kg per hour figures hold for every grain?

No. Those figures are for dry wheat. Maize, bajra, ragi, rice and pulses all behave differently, and damp grain runs slower on any machine. Tell us what you mainly grind and we will give you a realistic figure.
